Customer Relationship Management

Here at GU we have a CRM System and a programme of work to improve how institutional contacts and events can be shared via this core system.

The system supports a range of individual and organisational contact types.  This includes alumi and business contacts.

As part of our on-going drive to improve integration we have been thinking about how to better join up the data from different parts of the University.  I am looking at the Research applications and awards and there is also currently a drive being led by staff in Careers, Recruitment, Corporate Communications and Museums. 

What has this got to do with Research Outputs?  Lots of the activities e.g. public lectures and school visits are outputs that Research Councils, the REF and others require information about.

      Many thanks for your comment.

      We are not sure how quickly we will proceed with our CRM plans. As always in such a big organisation there are lots of priorities jostling. The project is ticking along slowly. We have software that is being used at present and there is also a module in Campus Solutions that we are currently installing primarily to deal with the student lifecycle. We plan to look at the Campus Solution’s module longer term and will remain with our current package until then.

        Currently I am working as a CRM Program Manager for a Consulting/Implementing company called Cedarcrestone.We are one of the leading People soft shop for Campus Solutions and CRM.

        Personally, I have a track of being involved in CS and CRM,one of the few to implement CRM for the entire lifecycle,right from prospect to Attending,stage at which Advisor and Financial Aid get involved.

        I would be more than happy to share information about my solutions and how they have benefitted Institutions.Our blog too shares critical CRM process information that can be utilized for day to day recruiting process.
