The RCUK Research Outcomes Focus Group is discussing UK Research Organisations views on the practicalities of capturing and reporting Research Outcomes to RCUK. The key points:
- The original list of proposed outputs was too large. A smaller set with clearer definitions might be more manageable and palatable.
- Some of the proposed measures are not currently collected by RO’s.
At the University of Glasgow we are exploring practical ways that we might return information on the measures proposed. We will report on our progress in this blog. One of our key concerns is data synchronisation. We do not want RCUK to hold different data about key University of Glasgow staff activity than the University holds.
